We started Daddy's birthday with a birthday cake ... not a flat one we made ourselves this year but a tiny little bought one. He seemed to appreciate that we didn't put the full number of candles on it though.
He had lots of lovely presents - some with a coffee theme ... including a nice stove top coffee maker and some little coffee cups and saucers.
Another first here ... we all went out to celebrate Daddy's birthday instead of just Mummy and Daddy going out in the evening. We made the most of the fact that we've brainwashed the children into liking curry and hit the Slap Up Tandoori up the road from us.
